Dave Dawson
Dave Dawson is a Special Agent with the FBI. He has worked in that capacity for twelve years and is currently assigned to the Charlotte Office. Dave works on a criminal squad where he investigates Human Trafficking cases. He is also a member of the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
Deepa Naik
Deepa Naik completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. In 2007, she received a Masters of Law in International Criminal Justice and Armed Conflict from the University of Nottingham in England. She has been working in the Domestic Violence field for three years. Previously, she was an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) for a non-profit agency called ADVANCE in London, England. She also worked for the Victim Assistance Office of United Family Services as a Court Advocate.
She currently works as the Donor Relationship Coordinator for the capital campaign to build a new domestic violence facility in Charlotte. In addition, Deepa is a member of the Mecklenburg County Domestic Violence and Teen Dating Violence Speakers' Bureaus and is a staff back-up for the United Family Services Rape Crisis Hotline and the Domestic Violence Healthcare Project (DVHP).
Mary Rogers, MD, FAAP
Dr. Mary Rogers, MD, FAAP is the Director of General Pediatrics for Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has previously served as the medical director of the Pediatric Resource Center, the medical component of Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center in Charlotte. Dr. Rogers is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pediatrics with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Rogers received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of South Carolina and completed pediatric and chief residencies at the University of Virginia.
She is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics. Prior to medical training, Dr. Rogers worked in the field of developmental disabilities as a music therapist. Her interest in child advocacy began at that time and she has since been involved with numerous local, regional, and national organizations related to the health and protection of children.

Margaret D. Valderrey, RN, MSN
Margaret D. Valderrey, RN, MSN, is a Registered Professional Nurse who graduated from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing of Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a Masters of Science Degree in Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from Syracuse University.
She has many years of experience in Clinical Nursing in Public Health, Medical - Surgical, Orthopedic - Trauma, and Rehabilitation direct patient care. She has expertise in Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing in the hospital and community setting as well as in private practice.
Her experience has included Leadership roles in Nursing Management and Administration in several large teaching medical centers in Boston, Cleveland, Syracuse, Tulsa, and Charlotte.
Currently she is the Director of Mental Health with the Charlotte Area Health Education Center / Regional Education. Margaret is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurses Honor Society.
