HEROES Health Career Connection (H2C2)

H2C2 is a health career club for high school students that are interested in learning more about careers in healthcare. It meets once a month from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Students will thoroughly enjoy health science workshops, field trips, health career speakers, games and so much more!

MED Camp

Intrigued by surgery, the human body, medical TV shows? Ever wondered what it's like to be a nurse, doctor, physical therapist or dentist? Through a partnership between the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Charlotte AHEC, students will experience a summer camp on campus! Explore a variety of health care disciplines pointing the way to a sound foundation in the medical field. From pharmaceuticals and emergency medicine to nursing, respiratory therapy, athletic training and sports medicine, this comprehensive hands-on program emphasizes the important role of science in health-related careers. Guest speakers in the field present students with valuable resources and insights. Learn basic CPR and First Aid skills, visit the UNCC basketball arena and athletic training department, tour a race car training facility, and participate in exciting demonstrations by healthcare professionals.
